Nancy Adlman, LCSW

Nancy  is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist of over 20 years and a Shamanic practitioner for the past 13 years. She provides professional supervision for mental health professionals and holistic practitioners. She has done public speaking on psychotherapeutic issues and spirituality and provides empowerment/healing workshops.

Joseph Barbuto, M.D.

Joseph trained as a Gestalt therapist with Marilyn Rosanes-Berrett prior to medical school and presently serves as the Gestalt Center's Medical Director.  He is an associate professor of psychiatry at Cornell University, an attending psychiatrist at New York Presbyterian Hospital and a consultant at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
Francesca Baslow, MA, LCAT

Francesca is a Gestalt trained psychotherapist and NY State licensed mental health practitioner.  She has a private practice in New York City and works with individuals, couples and groups.  Her experience includes the female process, eating disorders/body image, sexuality, mothering, relationships, divorce, changing thought patterns, anxiety and depression.
Michael Brennan, LCSW
Mike Brennan, LCSW is a graduate of the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy & Training.  He has over ten years experience working in the field of HIV, mental health, and substance use. Mike also worked as a professional stand up comedian for 5 years.  Through his work, he has found that marrying the two concepts of humor and healing can really help to facilitate the change process in a present-centered and authentic way.
Bud Feder, Ph.D.
Bud is a psychologist in private practice with a specialty in Gestalt group therapy.  After training with Laura Perls he joined the faculty of the NY Institute in 1980.  He co-edited with Ruth Ronal, Beyond the Hot Seat": Gestalt Approaches to Group Therapy: A Practical Guide.
Kathryn Grooms, LCSW
Kathryn is a psychotherapist serving individuals, couples and supervisees with fifteen years of experience working with issues of substance abuse, mood disorders, anxiety, sexuality, gender and trauma.  She received her advanced training as a therapist from the Gestalt Center of Psychotherapy and Training, where she is now part of the faculty and coordinates the annual Workshop Program.
Steve Vinay Gunther
Steve Vinay Gunther is the director of the Northern Rivers Gestalt Institute in Australia. His study and practice both of psychotherapy and meditation began 35 years ago. He has continued an interest and involvement with both areas ever since, regularly teaching in the US, Mexico and Europe. In Australia he works as a Gestalt trainer, maintains a private practice, and does career development work. He is author of “Understanding The Woman In Your Life”, and facilitates Family Constellation workshops.

Naaz Hosseini, M.A., LP
Naaz is a NYS Licensed Psychoanalyst, Certified Gestalt Therapist,  and Voice Empowerment Coach with a private practice in Nyack and Manhattan. She is currently faculty and supervisor at the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Columbia University Teachers College.  Her areas of specialty include anxiety, self-esteem, personal growth, creativity, voice empowerment, and relationships.  She conceived and hosted Gurus of Gestalt, a cable TV series.
Rosary Immordino, LP
Rosary is a NYS Licensed Psychoanalyst.  She has a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University Teacher's College and received her Gestalt training at the GCPT.  She practices in Jackson Heights and Manhattan, where she works with individuals, couples and groups.  Areas of specialty are self-esteem, workplace issues, and OCD.  As faculty and executive director at the GCPT, Rosary combines her skill and passion for training with her love of gestalt therapy. 
Helen Kramer, LP

Helen trained with Marilyn Rosanes-Berrett, founder of the Gestalt Center for Psychotherapy and Training, and Laura and Fritz Perls.  She has taught both Gestalt and her system of Emotional Education to therapists and educators across the world, and has appeared on numerous television shows, including Oprah.
Elizabeth Lyngholm, MA

Elizabeth is Director of Training and Development at the City University of New York.  She is a graduate of the Gestalt Center.

Ken Meyer, Ph.D.
Ken is currently the Academic Director of the Gestalt Center and a guest teacher at other gestalt programs.  He is a Full Member of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy and is a frequent presenter at regional, national and international conferences.  He maintains a private psychotherapy and supervision practice in NYC and Long Island.  Ken has been a student and practitioner in the New Kadampa Tradition, and currrently studies with Varjrayana/Dzogchen lineage.

Natalie Rogers, CSW

Natalie is the founder and president of Talk Power Seminars, and is a Behavioral Psychotherapist and a Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at Cornell Medical College.  Ms. Rogers recently published her new book, The New Talk Power: The Mind-Body Way to Speak Without Fear.  In a previous career, Ms. Rogers was the Artistic Director of the Dove Theatre Company in New York City.  Here she acted, directed and taught fundamentals of performance ease for the actor.

Astrid Schmidt, LMSW

Astrid is a clinical social worker trained in Gestalt Therapy.  She works in community mental health and has a private practice in New York City.  Astrid has experience working with anxiety, depression, substance abuse, sexual abuse and compulsive behaviors.
Alan Schwartz, Ph.D.

Alan was educated by Laura Perls and also by Jim Simkin.  He was trained in Bioenergetic Analysis by Alexander Lowen and John Pierrakos.  He was one of the early Gestaltists, before institutes, to work with character armor within the Gestalt approach in Europe.  From 1972 to the present, he has conducted countless workshops at Esalen Institute.  He practiced for many years in NYC and is a full member of the NYIGT.

Marla Silverman, Ph.D.
Marla is a psychologist with a private psychotherapy and supervision practice in NYC and Rockland county, and is former Director of Training at the Gestalt Center.  She has worked with couples and individuals for over 30 years, and offers courses and supervision in the art of couples work.
Lee Zevy, LCSW, CIC
Lee Zevy is a fellow of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy and has been working as a Gestalt Therapist for over 35 years. After she studied DBT, many years ago, in order to run groups for clients with Borderline Personality Disorder she began to apply the techniques and modules to other clients with problems in emotional regulation expanding these skills to individuals, couples and groups. In addition to DBT Lee had studied other forms of mindfulness that have been integrated into her work.
Gail Feinstein, LCSW, LMT 
Gail Feinstein, LCSW, LMT is a somatically-based gestalt therapist in private practice for 28 years in New York City and the Catskill Mountains consisting of supervision, training, workshops, and retreats. In an embodied relational field, she integrates ritual, nature, touch, movement and much more with an emphasis on women’s work and deep ecology.  She was mentored by Laura Perls, is past president and on the faculty of the New York Institute for Gestalt Therapy, President Elect of the Association for the Advancement of Gestalt Therapy (AAGT) and trains internationally.  She is a lover of bold expression and full, deep engagement in the spirit of the feminine.
